Low Complexity Fair Scheduling in LTE/LTE-A Uplink Involving Multiple Traffic Classes

چکیده

The bulk of the research on long term evolution/long evolution-advanced [(LTE)/(LTE-A)] packet scheduling is concentrated in downlink and uplink comparatively less explored. In uplink, channel aware with throughput maximization has been widely studied while considering an infinitely backlogged buffer model, which makes investigations unrealistic. Therefore, we propose optimal procedure realistic traffic sources. First, advocate a joint algorithm, maximizes actual transmitted bit-count. Thereafter, introduce delay constraints our algorithm to support real-time traffic. We further enhance by incorporating varied requirements demanded mixed classes. Finally, priority flipping minimize bandwidth starvation lower presence higher percentage high observe that constraint may render optimization-based proposals infeasible. avoid infeasibility, replace outage minimization (DOM). DOM aims at minimizing drop due violation. Moreover, also helps reducing problems well-known assignment problem, can be solved applying Hungarian algorithm. Hence, approach delivers allocation low computational complexity.

Low-complexity distributed fair scheduling for wireless multi-hop networks

Max-min fair bandwidth allocation is a meaningful objective whenever the level of user satisfaction cannot be clearly expressed as a function of the allocated bandwidth. In this work, we address the issue of approximating max-min fairness in a wireless network without the requirement for network-wide node coordination and we present a low-overhead greedy distributed algorithm for reaching this ...

Fair rate sharing models in a CDMA link with multiple classes of elastic traffic

In this paper we describe a modeling approach for studying fair rate sharing in a CDMA link. Capacity models derived for CDMA indicate that fair rate sharing belongs to the class of generalized processor sharing (GPS) schemes, as these were defined and studied by J.W. Cohen. From this starting point, we examine the steady-state characteristics of flows in a CDMA link considering multiple classe...

Blotto game-based low-complexity fair multiuser subcarrier allocation for uplink OFDMA networks

This article presents a subcarrier allocation scheme based on a Blotto game (SABG) for orthogonal frequencydivision multiple access (OFDMA) networks where correlation between adjacent subcarriers is considered. In the proposed game, users simultaneously compete for subcarriers using a limited budget. In order to win as many good subcarriers as possible in this game, users are required to wisely...

Fair Scheduling for Multiple Submissions

Today, most available parallel environments support multiple users executing their jobs in a common shared infrastructure. In such environments, when scheduling individually important jobs from different users, the problem of fairness arises. In this work, we propose a fair scheduling algorithm that handles this problem by adopting processor fair-share as a strategy for user fairness. The user’...

Power Control and Scheduling For Low SNR Region in the Uplink of Two Cell Networks

In this paper we investigate the sub-channel assignment and power control to maximize the total sum rate in the uplink of two-cell network. It is assumed that there are some sub-channels in each cell which should be allocated among some users. Also, each user is subjected to a power constraint. The underlying problem is a non-convex mixed integer non-linear optimization problem which does not h...
